Introduction
Mutrah Shipping & Trading Agency LLC (MSTA), a 100% locally owned shipping and trading company, established in 1974, to provide shipping agency services for shipping lines which were calling the port of Muscat to off-load with break bulk and project cargo.
We have since moved on, and today one of our major activities is the agency representation of one of the worlds leading container carriers, APL Co Pte Ltd, headquartered in Singapore. APL offers worldwide cargo service to Oman's local importers and exporters.
Business diversification
We also have a trading division, representing JohnsonDiversey's wide range of cleaning and hygiene products, for the hotel, dairy, food and poultry industry. The trading division also represents Kinnarps of Sweden, offering a fully integrated space planning and design service and installation and after sales services of all kind of office furniture.
Commitment to quality
MSTA has always been aware of the importance of providing quality services. With the introduction of a formalised quality standard, ISO 9000, it was soon evident that MSTA would become involved in such a process and accordingly ISO 9001:2000 is implemented throughout the entire organisation. MSTA has had a quality management system in place since 1996 and was certified by DNV in April 1997.
